Believe it or not!! Violet took her 2 oldest kids... Mia and ME to the drive-in on Saturday! We all wore our pj's, brought pillows & blankets, stopped at Safeway to fill up on TONS of snacks and then headed to the movies!!! We watched Shaggy Dog, which actually had some good moments and then Eight Below. Lucky for Mia, she slept thru that one... me on the other hand, stayed awake and cryed the entire way through. Violet had to keep reminding me that it was a Disney movie, so it had to end up okay! I think my "senstivity" is growing more intense with age. Or, according to Lily the Tinman, (no heart) I'm just a big cry baby!! So what if I've been known to tear up at meaningless teeny-bopper TV show a time or 2?? :-) ANYWAY... back to the drive-in. Eight Below is a GREAT movie, but it definitely pulled on the heart strings. I'm all good when people get shot up and killed... but don't hurt the animals dang it!! Plus the real bonus... Paul Walker is just HOT!!
Mia taking the wheel at Safeway!
We got home around 1:30am, that's with moving the clocks forward, and 6am came REALLY early for church in the morning. But it was all good b/c I didn't have to teach and I could come home and sleep. Or so I thought! I got a voicemail during church saying they needed me, b/c the other teacher wasn't able to teach. Ugh. So after stalling a bit, I head to church to figure out that although I remembered to change my clock in my room... NONE of the other clocks got changed in the house, so I was an 1hr. late for church. But it all worked out b/c a mother stayed to volunteer in the class, and I got there just in time to lead praise & worship for the whole group and then take over my class and teach the lesson... so once again, God is good!!! And there was still enough time to take a quick nap after church before heading out to the 'Couve for church Sunday evening (single's ministry)!!
Another fun & eventful weekend in the NW!!! Stay tuned for pics from the Ballerina Bowling Party coming up this weekend!! Mia is turning 4!!! The weekend should provide some great picture opportunities, I'm sure!!
