Friends & family... what more can a girl ask for...

The toddler madness was multiplied on Wednesday when Matt, Steph, Ethan & Seth arrived from Salina. Within minutes, we went from 1 toddler running the house to 3 toddlers taking over… it was pure comedy, insanity and lots of fun rolled up into one!! Especially when you add Alison & Corey’s 21 mo. old to the mix! Alison and I hung out on Wednesday and after a trip to Cerv’s for a snowball and a quick stop at the park so Carson could see the “moo’s” (a.k.a. the buffalo) she brought me home to experience the madness. And she hung out for awhile so Carson could play with the “babies” (even though he was the youngest of the group!). So, for awhile we had 4 kids running rampant, hiding behind curtains, chasing each other, jumping on things, playing with toys… I was lovin’ every minute!!

Duet by Seth & Jordan... Aunt Tiff would be proud!

That evening Gma & Gpa came over and we had dinner together as a family, but unfortunately we were missing Tiffany and Mark, so it wasn’t quite complete. But she called that day and we were going to see them on New Year’s, so that made it a little okay… but they were definitely missed!!! That evening, the age-old question “How many Timkens does it take to start a fire?” was finally answered… apparently it’s 5. Let’s just say Chris & Matt definitely had a LOT of supervision!! But they all did a great job and it was soon PRESENT TIME!! The boys have definitely improved their present-opening skills from last year!! It’s amazing to me how much they have changed over the past year!!! They are all growing up so much and their little personalities are blooming… and it’s so much fun to watch them interact with one another!! I treasure the memories of hanging out with my cousins while growing up, so I absolutely love watching them play together and laugh and follow each other around!!
Dinner time!!

And this was the living room BEFORE the new presents were opened!!

I have no idea what he's telling me. But he was apparently distraught.

That's right, 5 whole Timkens to start a fire!

Little boys and new toys were EVERYWHERE!

Even the big boys got in on the fun!

ANYWAY, some of the comic moments of the evening, that I thankfully got on video would be Jordan’s version of the disagreement between Ethan and Seth… he was telling Matt what had REALLY happened between them!! He was also very detailed in his description of how to play with the Thomas Sodor mountain set. Seth rec’d one for Christmas, and Jordan rec’d one the previous weekend, so he was explaining how you do it. Another one was Jordan squealing as his little remote control car went spinning in circles! Too stinkin’ cute!! Here's the pic of Jordan grabbing Matt's hand and telling him what REALLY happened...

Smart boy... he decided he needed a helmet and helped himself to finding one in the kitchen!

Ethan singing Away in A Manger for us!

Seth enjoying the song!

Jordan just being his cute self!

The calm before the storm...

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were pretty quiet around the Timken household. Mom, Dad & I met up with Gma & Gpa at the Christmas Eve candlelight service at church, and then headed home for a quiet evening at home. Christmas Day was more of the same. I have to admit, the slow pace and having my folks to myself was kinda nice! But then again, I can only handle so much peace & quiet. Chris, Krisson & of course, Baby J showed up Christmas afternoon to save the day with Jordan playing his “band” (a.k.a. the loud banging of pots & pans), noisy toys and the movie Nemo playing over and over in the background. Now that’s the life I’ve grown accustomed to!

Resting on Dad

Not enough toys were out apparently!

Watching Nemo or Toy Story... it's all a blur...

And of course, family tradition... "baby? in a bar?" for some pool, a greasy burger and corn nuggets at the Q!!

Bath time!

Probably explaining why he needs Mamie's watch more than she does...

Aaaaaah.... Daddy and Jordan reading before bed. How cute is that?!
