SLC - Day 2!!

Saturday morning we woke up, grabbed our morning coffee and headed to the football field! 3 of Lil's nephews play on the same football team, which also happens to be coached by her bro and bro-n-law... and then when you add the rest of the fam as cheerleaders on the sidelines, it's definitely a family affair!!! And I was thrilled to be there in the midst of it!!! :-) I believe this was the boys' first year of playing tackle football... and they did AWESOME!!!

After the football game, we headed back to the house to chill for a bit (including a little Guitar Hero action) before heading downtown for the Mt. Dew Action Tour!!!!! I missed it in Portland, so I was pumped when it worked out for me to hit it up in SLC!!! This is the 4th time I've gone... but the first time I haven't been there by myself!!! (Minus the 1 day Sara went with me a couple years ago!) BUT, it was awesome to be there with other "fans" and have someone to chat with about the crazy tricks they were throwin' down!!! We only went 1 afternoon, so I didn't get to see much... BUT it was the first time that I got to see the Skate Park competition with Ryan Sheckler and Paul Rodriguez, so that was awesome!!!! It was definitely good times!!!!

SLC Adventures!

After dropping Lily off at the airport on Monday, I had a few days to rest up before getting on a plane myself and heading her way to Salt Lake City to hang with the Taliulu fam!!! I flew in Thursday night and we went straight to Sonic!! LOL!!! Give ya one guess who suggested that!! LOL!! Nephi ended up bringing Kamia, Lexie & Eli to Sonic to meet up with us... and so the entertainment began!! :-)

Friday morning, Lil and I grabbed our morning coffee, dropped Kamia off at Carolynn's and headed downtown for the day. We met up with her friend Matt and another co-worker Bryant, for some sushi. She works with Matt, but he's also a friend from church, so I've heard a lot about him and it was nice to finally put a face with the name! After lunch, the boys went back to work and we headed to Gateway for some shopping. I've restricted myself from going shopping here in Portland forever trying to save money, but the minute I get to SLC, I was like a kid in a candy store... and unfortunately had to pay sales tax on everything. Ugh. ANYWAY, after dragging Lil on my shopping marathon, we headed back home to hook up with some of the fam! The Fotu fam and Kamia, Lexie & Eli were all at a park nearby, so we met up with them and got in on the playground action!!

Poor girl had emergency surgery just a few days before for a ruptured cyst, thanks to a knee in the stomach during her first soccer game. I'm not sure which was more painful for her, the actual surgery/recovery or the fact that she couldn't get in on any of the playground/football/rough-housing action with the rest of her cousins for a whole week! Or then again... maybe it was Lily's driving that caused the most pain!! LOL!!!!

Havea had us cracking up! Not sure if it started with Lily beating him up? Or if it was Havea that decided to practice some football drills on Lily... but he'd take this little football stance and then run at her full-force!!! It was flippin' hilarious!!

And resulted in a very tired little boy!!
