On Thursday we hung out downtown. We did some shopping, visited Dr. Martens and checked out some of the Coast Guard and Navy ships that had docked along the river. We even got to see one of the last ones come in, which I've wanted to see for the last 7 yrs!! It was cool watching the bridges go up and to see the sailors all standing at attention along the edge of the ship... and then to hear the crowd cheering... it was awesome!! The ships were MASSIVE!! Oh, and did I mention we got invited to a party on the ship by a sailor?? :-)
