Praise Team!!

In September, our friend Kim took over as music director at church! SO EXCITED!!! She has an awesome heart for worship and a great vision for the direction of worship at our church! With this new change in leadership, we've added newer, more contemporary music, as well as 3 to 4 part harmonies, drums and guitars to our worship set!!! It's been amazing!!! And such a blessing for so many reasons... one, I love serving alongside my husband, Chris is playing the guitar and I'm singing. We're also good friends with everyone on the team, so it's fun to practice and worship together!! Plus, music has always been a passion of mine... from dancing, to piano, to band, to choir and show choir... I LOVE music!! Each month we have a hymn sing at our church, and I've always envisioned a monthly contemporary worship set... which is still a possibility for the future, but is also our reality each Sunday!! It's been 2 weeks... and it's been AWESOME!!!

Day before due date!!

Baby Shower!!

Half the time I can't believe I'm blessed enough to be married... so to be at my own baby shower... absolute CRAZINESS! My friend Lynn threw an awesome shower for me and I was so blessed by all my friends & family that were able to make it! :-) We had a great time playing games, eating yummy food, opening gifts and just plain chit-chattin' with friends!! It was awesome!!!

Lynn made Mason a cute little truck bank!!

A little game of "I Never" but instead of drinking... you had to put some coins in Baby Mason's new bank!

An entire package of diapers for Chris to use... these are ALL his!! LOL!!!

5th Sunday!

Every time a 5th Sunday falls on the calendar, our youth group takes over the worship service! The kids greet at the doors, pass out bulletins, lead worship, give announcements, run the sound/tech desk, take offering... they do it all! And it's always SO much fun to see them participating, and the congregation LOVES seeing them up there! Chris also put together a video from some of the summer camp pictures and the kids came up and spoke about their experiences... it was a great Sunday!! And we ROCKED the worship time!! We had that stage filled!!! We had kids on the keyboard, flute, guitar, singing... and then leaders on the guitar, bass and drums!! It was awesome!!!! Wish it could be like that every Sunday!!! :-)

We got a lot of great comments after church, and everyone really seemed to enjoy the service! After church, we headed out to eat with Jack, Barbara, Jon and his 2 friends, Chris & Sam. They were in town, after a 4 day hike, climbing Mt. Olympus. Why my husband can't take a normal picture, I don't know. But Jon seems to be the same way... he was hiding for quite some time before peaking out around Sam. It must be in their blood. Punks.

Camp David Jr. 2010

We had another great year at Camp David Jr.! This is my 3rd year going to family camp, and it's funny to think back that the first year I came as a guest of Ana's, the next year I was engaged to Chris and this year we were enjoying our first year of marriage and expecting a baby boy in October! Crazy how fast time can fly!! It was a very different year for me this time around... besides the fact that I was "roughing" it cabin-style being pregnant! But Ana wasn't able to be here this year because she was on her honeymoon with Paul, but Jayden was!! YEAH!! It was great to have her here, even tho the rest of her immediate fam wasn't!! Another difference was I actually knew people this year!!! I have had the chance to establish my own friendships with folks in the church, so when Chris was off running around doing his director duties, I wasn't lost in a bunch of unfamiliar faces... I had my own friends to hang with!! It was a fun year!!! Each year, at the close of camp, Chris gives out camper awards... and he awarded me the "Savor it while it lasts" award... because this was my last year of peace, next year I'll be chasing a 7 mo. old!! Haha!!!

I love this one... all those men, and NONE of them offered to go chase Jayd's frisbee for her, but of course they were quick to give guidance from above!

I married a crazy man. This water was FREEZING!!!

Apparently CRAZY runs in the family blood... here's my nieces Jayden and Rachel jumping in. It was a dare.
