By the way...

The whole reason we went to NYC is because of ENK/Children's Club. Violet has her own clothing line (*plug* www.kungfubambini.com) and she brought me along to help! Probably more for moral support (a.k.a. keeping her sane) than actually selling stuff!! Worked for me tho!! :-) So we were at the show from 9am - 6pm, Sunday thru Tuesday and then were free to play in the evenings! The show was pretty cool... alot different from what I'm used to at WSA for Dr. Martens. But it was fun to see all the different lines and experience this world of Violet's. I always hear about it, so it was cool to be there and see her in action!!

So... the show got over around 6pm and it was back to the hotel for a quick nap while Violet got her email fix and then it was off to the streets again! This time we grabbed some food at Ellen's Stardust Diner... aka Kareoke-ville for struggling actors & actresses! It was quite entertaining!!! We walked in and you could hear what sounded like somebody singing... and sure enough, there goes a waiter with a mic to his face, singing his heart out! It was crazy!! They would just pass the mic, hook up their favorite song, possibly jump up on the tables and they serenaded you all night long!!! I still have "All that Jazz" in my head!!

Our waitress Molly, the best singer in the bunch!

After dinner, we walked towards Times Square again, saw some pimped out cars, posed with some of the Broadway posters for Mama Mia and Rent... we even caught one of the actors coming out after his performance in Rent!! Still have no clue who he was... but we've got pics!!! The theatre district is pretty cool... I definitely want to hit up a show next time I go, whenever that may be!!!

Times Square is SO busy!! It's crazy!! All the lights, billboards, people walking, selling stuff, taxis, police sirens... it's super easy to get caught up in it. It also provides much entertainment, including one of the highlights of my trip... picture this...

I *heart* NY shirts... $2.50
Dinner on Broadway... $25
Violet literally running into a horse... PRICELESS!!!

We were crossing the street and it was one of those things where you see it happening, but can't get the words out to stop it! She heard me shriek and when she looked left to see why, she was about 2 inches away from kissing the horse... no lie!! The horse started back-pedaling and then it was all I could do to not fall to the ground laughing!! The carriage driver found it pretty hilarious, as well!!! Good times!!!
