It had been 2 yrs. since their last visit... and so the time had come for my parents to make the long trip out to Portland! And this time, they brought my nephew Jordan! It definitely changed the agenda of the trip a bit... but the week was definitely filled with good times and plenty of entertainment from the resident 3 yr. old!!! They flew in around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, so it didn't take them long before they crashed for the night! But Jordan was up standing by my couch/bed at 7 a.m. ready to start the day!! For our first day we just hung out downtown... we stopped by my work, so Jordan could see the puppy, Pan Pan.

After stopping by DM's, we strolled thru Pioneer Square and then headed to Spicy Pickle for lunch. His 3 yr. old "CHEEEEEZE" smile cracks me up!!!! You'll see that numerous times thru-out the week!!!!

After lunch we were off to the waterfront to spy on some Canadian Geese and run around a bit.

Something was terribly wrong with his poor neck!!
But it didn't slow him down!
Jordan loved the little duckies!
Mom was holding on for dear life,
terrified that her fearless grandchild would go overboard!
After running around at the waterfront, we headed across the Hawethorne Bridge to OMSI. They have a dinosaur exhibit this summer, so I thought it would be perfect for Jordan!!

The water area was his favorite!!
Not to mention all the fishies that were in there!!!!

After we had all the dinosaurs we could handle, we headed back across the bridge to the fountain so he could play in the water a little bit. It was a little chilly, tho.

After that, we jumped on the train and headed back to the car... with a quick pit-stop at Ben & Jerry's for some ice cream!!!

It was a good, but long day! We definitely wore him out, and did a good job of wearing ourselves out, too!! It was time to crash and rest up for day 2...
