Friday was a pretty kick-back day! We took our time getting ready in the morning and then we headed out to Clackamas to meet up with my dad's Aunt Genevieve and Uncle Sparky and then his cousin Gay and her daughter Makayla. They all live out of town, but made the trip in to Portland for a little reunion!!

He got balloons from Mamie... but was quickly banned to the kitchen by Aunt Stacie!
Portable DVD players are brilliant!
After lunch we headed to REI so Gay could give me some pointers for gear for my upcoming triathlon! Meanwhile, these 2 became partners in crime... hiding, attempting to scare us and sometimes scaring other poor shoppers in the process!! LOL!!
At one point, they had us all scared because we couldn't find them... we eventually found them hiding under the gear in the picture window... and Gay had to actually chase them out! It was funny... after the fact!
Gay and her fam just live down in Corvalis... we decided we really have no excuse to NOT see each other more often!! Who knows, maybe we can do a triathlon together sometime!!!
The boys did their best to keep busy while we shopped, but it wasn't long before we were back to my hood and at the park to blow off his rocket balloons. Probably the best $1.99 spent all weekend!!! Even us grown-ups had fun with them!!!
At this point, he decided to take some time out from chasing balloons... to catch the butterflies!
Then it was back to the house to chow down on some bday cake courtesty of Dr. Martens! Day 2 down...
