Mow-Mow

So my nephew Jordan LOVES being outside!! And one of his favorite activities is mowing with Papa. He has his own little mower and wheelbarrow that he keeps in the tool shed with Papa's. You don't dare mention mowing, or he'll get all crazy thinking it's time to go mow, afraid he's missing out! Luckily for him, Papa mows about every 2 days, so he gets plenty of quality time outdoors! Some people try to keep up with the Jones's. My dad has to keep up with Donnie, one of his retired friends that lives across the street, who also mows every 2 days and has a perfect lawn. But Dad does good work, our lawn is gorgeous, too! ANYWAY... Jordan has gotten too big to sit on Papa's hip while they mow, so he's been moved to the shoulders. Dad will do the outline of the lawn first, while Jordan chases him around waiting to be put up on Papa's shoulders. Then Papa will mow with one hand, holding Jordan's feet with the other and usually remembering to duck when going under the trees!!! Apparently Jordan's pretty good at ducking, too!! And then when Jordan's NOT on Papa's shoulders, he's pushing his own mower around the lawn... with one hand... bending down occasionally... just like Papa!! Is that not the cutest thing in the whole world??

I can't wait for July... I'll be home for 9 days, and thanks to my Dad's obsession over the yard, I should be able to experience this first hand atleast 3 times!! Taking atleast 100 pics of it, I'm sure!!
